Panglao Island Paradise in Visayas
Panglao Island is found in the north of Bohol , which located in the Central Visayas region, in the south-central Philippines. Panglao island is located southwest of the island of Bohol and east and south of Cebu.
This island has an area of about 90 square kilometres It is found within Bohol Province, and has two municipalities: Dauis and Panglao.
Panglao is one of the popular tourist spots in the Philippines and this includes several small islands, such as Balicasag, Pamalican , Gak-ang, Pontod, island.
Panglao island is one of the main tourist destinations on the Philippines. The Alona Beach the most popular tourist spot on the island, is well noted for its white sand and clear water.
According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 85,000.
How to Get to Panglao Island
If you are in Manila, there is a plane that will take you directly to Tagbilaran City your starting point of going to Panglao Island. Check with the Phillipine Airline, Cebu Pacific and Air Asia for its daily schedules, for Manila to Tagbilaran City Route.. From Tagbilaran Airport you can hire a Van and will only take you thirty minutes to arrive in Panglao Island.
If you are in Cebu , there is a plane that will take you directly to Siargao. Check with the Phillipine Airline, Cebu Pacific and Air Asia for its daily schedules, for Cebu to Tagbilaran City.
Aside from Plane, Tagbilaran City can be reach by boat/ferries from Cebu and from other ports like the plaridel ports in Misamis Occidental.. Assorted ferries are available and it will only take you from 2 hours to three hours ride from Cebu to Tagbilaran, and from Tagbilaran ports just take a van for your 30 minutes rides to the said Island.
Things to do while in Panglao Island
1. Massage on the beach: Get a massage while resting in the beach. There is so many massage ladies scattered in the beach.
2. Snorkeling and swimming. There are so many great spots for snorkeling spots around the island.
3. Strolling around the island. You can easily stroll and walk round the island in. There are many motorbike that can be hired and there you go, exploring the whole island .
4. Island & Caves hopping. –there are so many islands and caves that you can visit while you are in Panglao.Just organized a tour to visit its island
