Bohol Countryside and Alona Beach Tour

Somewhere around the last weekend of September, the squad decided to have the Countryside Bohol Tour with Alona Beach Tour.

Since we our squad from Cebu, we took the Starcrafts Ferry since it is the fastest ferry that will take you to Tubigon. We took the 5:45am schedules. The boat fare is P300.00 because we opt in the Tourist section of the Ferry. The travel is good and after one hour and 15 minutes we already at Tubigon Port. At almost 7:00am and we took our breakfast at MCDO was outside the compound of Tubigon Port. Just a 100 meters away from the port.

We finish our Breakfast around 8:00 in the morning just in time the Van that we hired just arrived. We hired a van for our tour which is good for 8 Hours. The package is P2,500 for the countryside tour and additional P500 for taking us to Panglao Island, since  the Hotel we book is in Panglao.

Sagbayan Peak

Our First itinerary is the Sagbayan Peak. It’s just a 45 minutes from the tubigon Port we arrive at Sagbayan Peak is located at Sagbayan Town. It is one of the tourist spots in Bohol. It is a located at the elevated ground and mostly considered as a mountain resort  with the theme of Disney characters and with statues of those said characters.

We spent around 1 hour roaming the said peak and taking pictures for its beautiful mountain views. Also from here we can view the chocolate hills.

Chololate Hills

Next Stop is Chocolate Hills in Carmen Bohol which is 45 kilometers from sagbayan peak with travel time of 1 hour. Chocolate hills is a group of tiny hills formed like chocolate images nestled at 50 square kilometres in mountainous Carmen Town. Chocolate hills vary in size from 30 meters up to 120 meters in height. Each hills is separated from the  other by 20 meters to 50 meters. We cant climbed this hills individually but rather this can only be viewed at the Chocolate Hills Complex.

Tarsier Watching

Next, in the Agenda is Tarsier Watching. The Philippine Tarsier  is the the world’s smallest primates and have bigger eyes than their brain. They are endanger species. They are just 8 to 16 centimeters long  and can jump to 16 feet. They a re truly cute and lovable.

Loboc River Cruise.

Loboc River Cruise is a just a journey around the Loboc River. The wooden banca have a lunch buffet for its customer to enjoy. Native foods and fruits is served. At least 50 people on board the banca. Aside from foods,  a small band also there to entertain the guest with music. As the boat on the go, the lunch buffet begins with  the band is playing at the background. On the journey to the loboc river, you can the life in the river bank. Children’s playing and taking a swim in the river bank. Also in the river cruise they will let you witness a cultural dance perform by the professional dancers.

Baclayon Church

Founded by the Jesuit priest in 1596 and the oldest Christian Settlement in Bohol. It becomes one of the tourist spots in Bohol. This church is known as The Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary Parish Church.

Man-Made Forest in Bilar

Bohol man made forest is one of the tourist attractions is bohol. This is a favorite stop for tourist visiting Bohol. This is located in Bilar town. A nice view for the mahogany plants which stand out in its uniformity I height and the thickness of the leaves. The road dividing the forest is tidy and the view of it darken due to the mahogany trees planted all around it. You can breathe the fresh air just standing in the middle of the road and can hear the whispering and natural sounds of birds and others animals.

Bohol Enchanted Zoo.

A place where local animal and butterflies can  be found in Bohol.

Hanging Bridge

The hanging bridge is located in sevilla bohol which crosses the Sipatan River. This is now consider one of the beautiful spots of bohol. The bridge is made of bamboo and rope originally but been upgraded to steel cables for safety and stability.

Panglao Island.

Our final destination is the Panglao Island which the Alona Beach can be found. This is called little boracay as it has the white and fine sand.
