Philippine is one of the countries in the world that has the most public holidays to enjoy. Philippines Holiday is grouped into 2 category – the Regular holiday and the Special Holiday. The Regular Holiday has a fixed date while the Special Holidays are flexible.

 Special Holidays also divided into three groups, the Special Non-Working Special Holiday , the Special Working Holiday and last the Additional Special non-working holidays,

For the year 2025 the Philippine have a total of 19 holidays.

As per Proclamation No. 727, the following are the list of Holidays in the Philippines for the year 2025.

Holidays for 2025.

  1. January 1, 2025 – Wednesday (New Year’s Day) – Regular Holiday
  2. January 29, 2025 – Wednesday (Chinese New Year) – Additional Special Non-Working Holiday
  3. February 25, 2025 – Tuesday  (EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary) – Special Working Holiday
  4. April 9, 2025 – Wednesday  (Araw ng Kagitingan) – Regular Holiday
  5. April 17, 2025 –Thursday (Maundy Thursday) – Regular Holiday
  6. April 18, 2025 – Friday (Good Friday) – Regular Holiday
  7. April 19, 2025 – Saturday (Black Saturday) — Additional Special Non-Working Holiday
  8. May 1, 2025 – Thursday (Labor Day) – Regular Holiday
  9. June 12, 2025 – Thursday  (Independence Day) – Regular Holiday
  10. August 21, 2025 – Thursday (Ninoy Aquino Day) –Special Non-Working Holiday
  11. August 28, 2025 – Monday (National Heroes’ Day) – Regular Holiday
  12. October 31, 2025 – Friday (All Saints’ Day Eve) –Special Non-Working Holiday
  13. November 1, 2025 – Saturday (All Saints’ Day) – Special Non-Working Holiday
  14. November 30, 2025 – Sunday  (Bonifacio Day) – Regular Holiday
  15. Dec. 8, 2025 – Mon. (Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary) – Special Non-Working Holiday
  16. Dec. 24, 2025 – Wed. (Christmas Eve) -Additional Special Non-Working Holiday
  17. December 25, 2025 – Thursday (Christmas Day) – Regular Holiday
  18. December 30, 2025 – Tuesday  (Rizal Day)- Regular Holiday
  19. December 31, 2025 – Wednesday ( Last day of the year )- Special Non-Working Holiday

Additional special non-working holiday intended for The Eid’l Fitr (the end of Ramadan) and the Eid’al Adha (the feast of sacrifice) which exact date will be determined according to Islamic Calendar and will be known later to the public.

Long Weekend for 2025.

A long weekend typically refers to a period of three to four consecutive days off from work, usually encompassing a Friday or Monday in addition to the usual Saturday and Sunday.
