Philippines is one of the countries in the world that has the most public holidays. Holidays here is grouped into 2 category – the Regular holiday and the Special Holiday. The Regular Holiday has a fixed date while the Special Holidays are flexible. Special Holidays also divided into two groups the Non-Working Special Holiday and the Working Special Holiday.
As a traveler, it is always on our agenda every start of the year to check the holidays schedules for them to start planning.
For the year 2021, the Philippine have 11 regular holidays, 9 special non-working holidays and 2 additional special non-working holidays.

Additional special non-working holiday intended for The Eid’l Fitr (the end of Ramadan) and the Eid’al Adha (the feast of sacrifice) which exact date will be determined according to Islamic Calendar and will be known later to the public.
To better managed our travel, aside from knowing the holidays schedules, we should also check those holidays that fall on weekend so that we can enjoy the long weekend.
For the year 2021 the Philippines have 7 long weekends.

- Chinese New Year Weekend – February 12 to 14(three days: Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
